“As a Texas resident, I call on our government to put Texans and our communities before corporate interests when approving AI data centers and passing related legislation.
AI data centers must serve everyday Texans, not exploit them. That means real protections from rising land and electricity costs, water shortages, and noise pollution.
Texans deserve full transparency: who is building, what they’re building, and what deals were cut with local government. They also deserve accurate, independently verified data on actual water and electricity use…not developer projections.
Not one dime of taxpayer money or public resources should go to subsidize the big tech companies and Texans should never be forced to foot the bill for big tech’s AI boom.
Texans deserve protection from the real harms AI is inflicting on our children, our values, our national security, and our future.”
